Deb and I are working to pull all our work for the past two years together in order to get ready for the Mattoon Street Fair. For over fifty years, residents of Mattoon Street have sponsored this fair supporting the arts and providing a great day off in a nod to a fast approaching summer end. It seems a perfect time for us to begin marketing our botanical and cyanotype prints.
Our mutual efforts pulled us in the opposite direction that our creative souls wanted to go. But as most things, research and creativity cost money. However, yesterday was way too inviting for me. I celebrated its lack of humidity and wealth of sunshine by foraging and printing a close friend’s garden. Its alway important to keep aware of what the soul needs. Plus, it had its rewards.
